Our latest record collector interview comes from Houston, Texas. Collector Ryan Perry organizes his 800+ vinyl collection with a few Koeppel Design products, including a set of 26 Engraved Alphabetical record dividers as well as a few engraved genre dividers and custom dividers.

Ryan shares, "I am a music and travel blogger based in beautiful Houston, Texas. I post a photo from my travels each week with a vintage boombox paired with selected vinyl."

How do you organize your collection?  
Alphabetically by Artist then by specific specialized category for 33's; Genre then Alphabetically by Artist for 45's

What album/artist are you listening to right now?
The Black Pumas self titled LP

How does your record collection make you feel?  
Records can tap into the deepest of emotions and experiences speaking to and at times for us. My collection is a mix of records deeply tied to specific memories and wisdom of newer artists that I relate to.

How long have you been collecting records?
I have collected records since 2015. I started collecting as a way to nostalgically remember albums that were a soundtrack to my childhood.


Favorite genre in your collection:
By the numbers, indie hip hop from labels like Rhymesayers, Doomtree and Rap-A-Lot make up a sizable portion of my collection. However, I have a special place in my heart for Soul, Jazz and 90's Country as well.

Best album to listen to when you’ve had a rough week:
"The Suffers" self titled release.

What is your beverage of choice when listening to records?
Bulleit Bourbon
